Leaving Vegas

The things I can’t wait to get back to:

- movie nights with my son
- dancing with my niece in the kitchen
- having tea with my sister
- the smell of my house
- my bed
- my boyfriend
- seeing my clients out and about
- the studio
- calling my mother ‘Mah’
- telling my son I’ll see him after school as he is on his way to the bus *sigh*

I haven’t had an Ice Cap in a week. Think I can break that habit?! Or will it be the first thing I get to???

Celebrating Sexy!

We didn’t get each other names but we did get to know a lot of other things about one another.

We sat next to one another in one of our classes today. We were in the front row, last class of the day, ready to take it all in when the instructor came to us and asked if we could stand up in front of 900 people and tell them what sexy means to us before class starts. Talking in front of 900 people is not at all something I would ever do…but that was before this week in Vegas! So we got up and explained what sexy meant to us in front of the entire class. Once we were done everyone cheered for us — it was awesome!

It’s been such a great week.

little addition to the family

Missing studio posts yet? I haven’t been the best blogger while in Vegas but when I get back it will be back to back with more sessions. We have a busy March in studio. Our slow season this year has been quite busy:)

I had the pleasure of meeting this family for the first time before leaving for Vegas. This baby is very adored by mom and dad and was quite content through our session. My favourite image from this session is the image of this little one holding her hands. I think it’s the 10th image in the slideshow. It makes me want newborn pics of my son like that.

GOSSIP MONDAY

WORK
- I love this hotel it always smells like flowers and the music is so great I’m always dancing in the halls
- I’ve met so many old friends. It’s been great seeing everyone, while making new friends in every class
- Natasha is awesome, booking weddings, studio sessions and taking care of orders while I’m away
- I have learnt so much while here. The one thing I wanted to learn I got in the first day:)For me it is most important
- today’s classes were pretty intense. A lot of people were crying in my second and third class.

HOME
- I miss my son like crazy
- if you follow the mom blog I have you’ll know my son has a lot of sleepovers and we often have kids in our house. Well, my very awesome sister let my son have a sleepover weekend with one of his friends at her house this past weekend.
- I can’t wait to get home and see him

PERSONAL
- I have a few more things to cross off my 101 list. I will eventually more that list to this blog.
- If we’re facebook friends you’ll know where I slept last night, lol. This trip just gets better and better, lol. I love video!
- It’s been cold and wet here. I remember the last time I was here in March I was wearing shorts. It’s been jeans and sweaters this trip. I was so busy today with classes and sleeping that I didn’t even leave the hotel today. This place is massive. I was hoping to get out to the Desert but I’ve pretty much ran out of time. I have classes tomorrow and then Wednesday is our travel day back.
- It’s 3am back home as I write this

Day 5 in Vegas

I am having an AMAZING time! The people here are incredible. It’s so easy to make new friends. I find photographers get along with one another as though we have been friends for years. I guess it’s easy when we have so much in common: most of us have the same phone, most claim to be ADD (lol), I find a lot of us have TMG so we talk about that and how often we clench our teeth, (I now know how to fix it other then going to the dentist), we sacrifice time, share the same passion, find the need for balance, we are passionate people, and we sure know how to have a great time when together.

We have a ton of fun photos from last night that will be on facebook only. If you don’t know who this is in he photo below it would only be because you’re not a photographer because everyone in the industry knows Jerry Ghionis!!! He is one of the very very best in the industry. He just got out of the Bon Jovi concert and we ended up having a drink in the hall together with a bunch of photographers. It was such a great time. I love this photo!

Tomorrow I am in classes from 8am-8:30pm. The class line up is incredible! I can’t wait to get to my first class with David Williams:)It’s going on 11pm here and 2am Canadian time. I need to get back on Canadian time!

I LOVE your smile in this pic! You look so happy! Sounds like you are having an incredible time- I’m so envious!!!

Okay… you must share the non-dentistry fix for tooth clenching!! Because I was clenching so bad the other day that my jaw has been hurting and stiff for the last 48 hrs!
