FAQ for Photographers

Since I get many emails from other photographers and photographers-to-be, I figured a page like this would answer many questions you have.

What kind of camera do you use? I have a couple of Canon 40D’s, and a 20D for a backup if either of my 40D’s go down.

Do you shoot in manual? I sure do! I also shoot in AV mode depending on the session. I also shoot in auto focus using my focus points around the camera, choosing the one that’s on the eyes or the eye closest to me.

Do you use actions? I LOVE actions! In fact, every image you ever see of mine has gone through some sort of action. I have hundreds of actions but probably only use 20 regularly. I’ve also made my own actions to give images the look I intend for them to display as.

What type of lighting do you use? All kinds! In studio I mostly use strobes while on location I fix it up between natural light, off camera flash and on camera flash

Do you shoot RAW or jpeg? 99% of the time I am shooting RAW. I like the flexibility of RAW

Did you go to school for photography? I sure did, and what a great time college was! I studies Creative Photography and Photography Techniques at Humber College. They were both fantastic courses and would recommend them to anyone. Still, I attend many workshops, seminars and classes just to stay updated with the newest photography trends.

What do you enjoy photographing most? I love everything I do. If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t photograph it.
